The Role:
The Data Analyst will be part of the new Chief Commercial Office of this Wealth Management company and is dedicated to supporting organic growth initiatives. The Data Analyst will primarily work with the Principal Data Scientist and Data Engineer, to deliver analysis to the chief commercial office, providing insight to support decision making and strategy setting across the Wealth Management business.
The Data Analyst will be responsible for the production of regular MI reports and individual one-off analysis to help address current questions that management may have. This will at times involve converting raw, unprocessed data into actionable insights and provides significant exposure to senior stakeholders and the broader Wealth Management organisation.
The Data Analyst will produce timely, high-quality MI reports that track key performance indicators, support decision-making, and provide actionable intelligence across the Wealth Management business to address emerging business questions with accuracy and insight.
The Data Analyst will identify opportunities to make reporting and analysis more systematic, scalable, and automated, enhancing efficiency and consistency across outputs. Independently identify new opportunities to utilise data to support the team’s initiatives, forming and presenting analysis to senior stakeholders in the Wealth Management business.
The Data Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data privacy standards, particularly in the handling of sensitive client data.
The Candidate:
Data Analyst experience within a Financial Services firm – working with business stakeholders in presenting business and performance data.
Visualisation tools; experience with PowerBI desirable or alternatively experience with other tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlik, etc) and willingness and ability to learn PowerBI
Degree in Engineering, Economics, Maths, Physics or similar
Statistical knowledge
Comfortable working with raw, unprocessed data
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Strong concept summarisation skills
