The Role
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently to stores, depots and distribution centres during night operations.
Duties will include:
- Safe and timely delivery of goods
- Pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections
- Unloading cages, pallets and totes where required
- Collecting returns and completing associated paperwork
- Following all transport and road safety regulations
- Using the Microlise transport management system
- Providing a professional service at all delivery locations
- Maintaining high standards of compliance and customer service
Shift Pattern
- Night shifts working any 5 nights from 6
- No Saturday working
- Start times between 19:00 and 03:00
- Rota provided
- 46 hours per week
Requirements
To be considered for this HGV Class 1 Driver position, you will need:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable and professional approach
