JJ Food Service are looking for an experienced New Business Manager to ensure they obtain new high-profile clients at a complex level, having clear knowledge of the market. The focus of the role will be to expand the JJ brand into new markets. The success of the role will be measured by the number of new customers and their retention, as well as an increase in sales turnover and gross profit.
This is a field-based position and will require flexibility and the ability to travel as required.
Salary: up to £40,000 per annum + OTE Bonus
To be successful you must have:
- Prior experience in new business development in the Food Service Sector or national accounts position with successful achievements in winning in multiple sectors and managing a tender.
- Ability to successfully work on your own initiative.
- Selling and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge in commercial insight and key profit levers.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Good understanding of JJ Food Service Ltd, business and high-end restaurants sector in London.
- Able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work towards tight deadlines.
- Ability to keep up to date with industry trends, regulations and legislation.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Ensure commercial new business is won via active prospecting and by managing a pipeline of prospect opportunities.
- Understand the market in which the company operates and how the organization’s products and services are used within the market.
- Grow and maintain customer relationships in line with a growth target and strong links.
- Use successful techniques for winning contracts, which include communicating the unique selling points of JJ Food Service Ltd, being aware of the company’s operating and profit margins, and understanding the clients’ specific requirements.
