To be considered for this position, you must be a current employee of JJ Food Service Ltd.

Primary Responsibility: As well as delivering goods to the customers, provide outstanding customer service.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Delivering goods in a polite manner to the customer’s delivery point including manual handling of goods up to 25kg.
  • Create a work balance of being 50% driver and 50% customer service representative.
  • Be customer and service focused, “face of JJ”.
  • Uphold the company brand image, uniformed smart appearance with a positive attitude at all times.
  • Ensure that the service quality remains constantly high.
  • Maintain standards of cleanliness and security of your assigned vehicle.
  • Maintain Health and Safety standards of your assigned lorry and staff under control.
  • Driving assigned vehicles to assigned customer accounts till the finish of all assigned deliveries, working to tight deadlines.
  • Ensure the deliveries are completed in a timely manner following your route sequence.
  • Collecting and banking in accordance with payment terms and ensuring the money is secure at all times.
  • Banking collected money by not exceeding £1000 with you at no times.
  • Ensuring that all the invoices and the relevant documents are signed by the customers and yourself with the correct received amount.
  • Identifying counterfeit money.
  • Keep company mobile device charged and on at all times.
  • Wearing full JJ uniform and safety boots, smart and clean presentation.
  • Reporting all accidents and injuries at work straight away and taking pictures of the damage as described in the employee handbook.
  • Obeying all traffic laws and limits.
  • Organising and controlling helper.
  • Accurately and clearly completing your tachograph (if applicable).
  • Carrying out such further tasks as may from time to time be delegated by your line manager.
  • To ensure that the company internal/external customer care & equal opportunity policies are adhered to at all times.
  • To be responsible for and ensure compliance with policies and procedures for Health & Safety.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business requirements.
  • Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as may be reasonably expected of the role and as necessary in order to achieve the objectives of the department and JJ Food Service goals.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Lifting: The job involves lifting of products (Ambient, chilled and frozen) with different weights up to 25 kg. Pushing, pulling the trolley to customer premises. (Drivers/helpers). Operating a vehicle tail lift.

Equipment:

  • Sack barrow (Trolley) for drivers and helpers.
  • Pump trucks (warehouse operatives, drivers and helpers).

Skills:

  • Clean and Valid C1 driving license.
  • Digital Tacho Card.
  • Good Driver with thorough understanding of road safety.
  • Patience to tolerate long drives and heavy traffic.
  • Able to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills remaining pleasant and friendly.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Good map reading skills and knowledge of the area.
  • Problem solving ability.
  • Handle documents.
  • Ability to diffuse.
  • Strong customer service focus.
