Role Purpose
The Services and Solutions Manager will deploy the Medical Technology value offering to drive profitable market share with strategic customers. The individual will be tasked with leading or participating in tailoring and implementation of our value offering, namely Clinical Transformation, Theatre Efficiency & Patient Pathway programmes. The incumbent will have strong expertise and practical experience in most of the skills you'll use every day required to deliver these programmes.
Key areas of responsibility:
- To lead value deployments in associated accounts
- Be the designated Governance lead to manage relationships with key NHS trusts and private sector organisations under the banner of Services and Solutions and drive programmes to deliver specific clinical and non-clinical outcomes
- Programme and/or workstream lead to act as the orchestra conductor within an NHS hospital to ensure resources, contractual commitments and governance is optimised for both the customer and J&J
- Partner with commercial colleagues to deliver the Services and Solutions Strategy for UK/Ire
- Accountability for reporting progress against key performance indicators aligned to annual objectives
- Accountable for supporting strategic growth through the deployment of value programmes
- Mentoring and supporting Services and Solutions Consultants
Key compliance requirements:

- Ensure compliance to the Company’s product complaint process.
- Ability to travel, and attend meetings as the need arises.
Skills & competencies required:
- Demonstrable strong track record of people management experience.
- Strong Programme leader with track record for execution.
- Experience as an individual contributor and a standout colleague
- Outstanding internal and external communicator.
- Report writing to an executive audience in all formats.
- Ability to think and plan and deliver on commitments.
- Strong project management experience, with experience in prioritising projects and seeing projects through to completion.
- Ability to successfully engage with clinical & non-clinical partners on operational matters.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional organisation to successfully deliver objectives to time and budget.
- Familiarity with NHS data sources such as Hospital Episode Statistics and SUS.
- An understanding of reimbursement in the NHS or the ability to learn it.
- An understanding or the eagerness to learn operative pathways in a hospital (surgical environment).
Education & experience required:
- Degree or equivalent experience in science, pharmacy, medicine or economics or other related field.
- Expertise in Organisational change, and/or
- Expertise in Process Excellence, and/or
- Expertise in Project Management, and/or
- Expertise in Healthcare Management Consulting, and/or
- Expertise of running Surgical Services/Theatres/Secondary Care Services
- Expertise in managing complex revenue generating projects.
- Crucial Languages: High level English fluency.
This role is open to candidates based anywhere within the UK. Due to the national scope of the position, it requires approximately 80% travel across the UK.
