Executive Account Manager – Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)

We are seeking a motivated and results‑driven Executive Account Manager to join our sales team specialising in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).

The role focuses on promoting innovative pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals and achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic account plans for targeted IBD customers.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives for assigned accounts.
  • Conduct product presentations and therapeutic area discussions to healthcare providers, ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date information.
  • Collaborate with internal and external cross‑functional teams to ensure cohesive strategy implementation.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to healthcare professionals handling product inquiries.
  • Record sales activities, customer interactions, and performance metrics accurately in the CRM system.
  • Reporting & Collaboration
  • Report directly to the Regional Business Manager.
  • Work closely with Account Manager colleagues, Customer Pathway Managers (CPMs), Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), Marketing, and Healthcare Compliance teams.

Qualifications

  • High motivation and results orientation with a consistent record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and engage collaborators.
  • Analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision‑making.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet client needs and attend industry events.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Life Sciences, NHS, Pharmacy, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in IBD preferred; prior pharmaceutical experience not required.
  • ABPI qualification not required; support will be provided to obtain it.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, regulations, compliance, and market dynamics.

Office in Maidenhead, central location near the train station (transition from Wokingham and High Wycombe). Applicants must be willing to relocate to this location.
