Overview
The Marketing Industrial Placement will support the CMW R&D team with technical marketing support for a typical 12‑month internship. The role includes receiving guidance, mentoring and training, leading individual projects aligned to business goals, and gaining hands‑on experience within a leading medical device company.
Responsibilities
- Receive guidance, training and mentoring from experienced colleagues in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.

- Provide logistical and administrative support to marketing projects, activities and marketing/sales staff.
- Arrange and monitor the status of internal/external meetings.
- Maintain stock levels of promotional material, product samples and workshop equipment, including arranging for delivery as required.
- Communicate with internal/external design agencies.
- Ensure logos and trademarks in all marketing materials are current and up to date using various design tools.
- Maintain a global library of marketing materials, ensuring assets are up to date and within expiration.
- Support in the creation and translation of marketing materials for new products by identifying key features and benefits.
- Disseminate marketing material through various sales channels.
- Assist with data analysis and trending of global sales data and other associated analytics.
- Maintain the company’s online presence.
- Deliver training demonstrations to new employees on the product portfolio.
- Support the development of business cases for future projects.
- Support product launches in accordance with the internal Launch Excellence framework.
- Track and process purchase orders.
- Develop novel marketing studies to substantiate claims.
- Communicate business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
- Follow all company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
- Ensure personal and company compliance with all company regulations, policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties assigned as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Business, Marketing or Healthcare/Science related degree at university.
- Minimum of one year at university completed.
- 0–2 years of experience in a working environment is preferable.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Certifications / Licenses
- Technical Skills (ESSENTIAL):
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Interest and ability to understand basic principles of Orthopaedic medicine.
- Ability to reference literature and write technical copy.
- Technical Skills (DESIRED):
- Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) or similar.
- Demonstrated evidence of data analysis / presentation techniques using data visualisation tools such as Excel, PowerBI, R or similar tool.
- Understanding of emerging technologies such as AI to improve and automate repetitive tasks.
