JJ Dance Studios is a globally recognized Ballroom and Latin dance studio led by renowned directors John and Jane Byrnes, both accomplished dance professionals with prestigious credits, including performances and consulting for TV shows like Strictly Come Dancing. The studio offers dance lessons for all levels, from beginners to professional competitors, serving both adults and children. Located in Beckenham, our purpose-built venue features state-of-the-art facilities, including two large sprung maple wood floors, floor-to-ceiling mirrors, premium sound systems, a licensed café bar, and a dedicated relaxation area. Our team consists of some of the industry’s top professional instructors, ensuring exceptional training for our students.
Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Ballroom/Latin Dance Teacher based in Beckenham. The teacher will conduct dance lessons for individuals and groups, covering a range of skill levels from beginners to advanced dancers. Key responsibilities include:
- Lesson planning
- Demonstrating techniques
- Providing constructive feedback to students
- Supporting progress of students in both recreational and competitive settings
- Contributing to the dynamic and professional studio atmosphere
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Lesson Planning and Education, with the ability to create engaging and effective instructional materials
- Experienced in Ballroom and Latin dance styles
- Excellent Communication skills to guide, motivate, and support students of all ages and skill levels
- Passion for dance and teaching, with the ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Flexibility to work in a part-time, on-site role during evenings or weekends as needed
