We are working with the UK operation of a Middle East bank, looking for someone with a strong banking background to drive sales of Trade Finance Product across the corporate, Financial Institutions (FI) and Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI) sectors. You will: * Identify, attract and maintain relationships and sales with relevant corporate client profiles * Manage relationships from a Local RM perspective, to identify, attract and maintain relationships and sales with relevant institutional client profiles, including (but not limited to): Financial institutions (FIs) such as banks; Non banking financial institutions (NBFIs) such as asset managers; * Collaborate with stakeholders across the Group in Trade Finance product development and identification of opportunities for sales with Corporate and FI / NBFI clients * Structure and negotiate terms and conditions with prospective corporate clients / FIs / NBFIs * Drive the credit approval process in coordination with the relevant analyst on a cradle to grave principle * Attract and execute high quality transactions with Financial Institutions (FI Lending, SWIFT loan, trade loan, ELC conformation, discounting, counter guarantees) in conjunction with the Group Financial Institutions department * Attract and execute high quality transactions with Corporates (bilateral facilities, syndicated facilities, Receivables Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Borrowing Base Facilities) in conjunction with RMs in London and Group Transaction Banking Services (Trade Finance Services) * Manage / monitor existing credit exposure against deterioration issue (both market and client specific elements) through the dedicated Credit Assessment Unit * Be responsible for understanding and implementing of the CDD procedures for the respective FI, NBFI & Corporate client base and transactions that has been allocated to the individual * Conduct ongoing checks in relation to utilization of credit lines, overall risk such as credit, operational etc, and documentation * Remain fully aware of regulations, financial crime procedures, sanctions screening, price checking, conduct rules etc Skills required: * Academic background in a relevant field coupled with relevant qualification such as CDCS or CITF * Significant experience / proven track record in either Banking trade finance environment, Commodity trading house, Trade finance department or multinational * The job holder will have had previous exposure in dealing with senior management and be familiar with requirements in terms of reporting and communication * The Job holder will also have had significant exposure to standard trade finance products and will have had experience with wider trade finance elements such as structured trade finance (β€œSTF”) * Excellent command of written and spoken English (additional languages are a definite plus) * Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills * An able team player * Ability to work on own initiative and ability to prioritise work * Accurate, organized individual, flexible and happy to undertake any task in support of the team members and thus the client * Excellent knowledge of MS Office skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
