We're looking for a proactive and collaborative Network Engineer to join our clients team. You'll play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting a range of network solutions (LAN, WAN, WLAN, telephony) that underpin the operation of offices and sites UK wide.

What you'll be doing:

  • Design specific network components aligned to agreed architectures, standards, and patterns.
  • Translate logical network designs into robust physical designs that meet capacity and performance needs.
  • Configure and manage network devices (Routers, Switches, Firewalls).
  • Provide 2nd/3rd line support and troubleshooting for complex network and telecoms issues.
  • Verify network designs against non-functional requirements including security, validation, and access controls.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across a geographically diverse estate.
  • Document configurations, changes, and procedures clearly.
  • Travel frequently across the UK to other sites and office (all travel to be booked in with you confirmed well in advance).

What we're looking for:

  • Experience designing and delivering WAN, LAN, WLAN, and telephony solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SD-WAN, VLAN, Firewalls, VPNs).
  • Practical experience in network security principles, network monitoring, and audit controls.
  • Ideally some experience in Cisco, Fortinet and Aruba.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic setting.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A collaborative, resilient, and self-motivated approach.

Essential qualifications & skills:

  • In-depth understanding of network protocols, security, and device configuration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving network issues.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the UK.
