Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Technician specialized in BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) , focusing on PCS (Power Conversion Systems) and Lithium Battery Systems . This role includes overseeing the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of energy storage systems in C&I (Commercial & Industrial) and Utility Scale environments.
The Senior Field Technician will also support technical training activities. This includes delivering training sessions for customers and internal staff, as well as contributing to the development of technical procedures and training documentation .
Job Summary:

This role includes overseeing the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of energy storage systems in C&I (Commercial & Industrial) and Utility Scale environments.
The Senior Field Technician will also support technical training activities. This includes delivering training sessions for customers and internal staff, as well as contributing to the development of technical procedures and training documentation .
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Operations:
- Lead installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of PCS , Lithium Battery Systems , and BESS/RESS solutions.
- Conduct functional tests, performance monitoring, and system diagnostics.
- Ensure project milestones are completed in line with company standards and customer expectations.
2. Call Center Technical Support:
- Participate in call center support for technical troubleshooting and remote diagnostics.
- Collaborate with the Help Desk team to resolve advanced technical cases.
- Act as the technical escalation point for complex issues.
3. Customer Support & Communication:
- Serve as the primary technical contact for customers during field operations.
- Provide detailed explanations of system performance and troubleshooting steps.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through professional service delivery.
4. Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare technical reports, including diagnostics, repair logs, and commissioning records.
- Ensure accurate completion of service records, inspection forms, and checklists.
5. Training & Technical Procedure Development:
- Conduct technical training sessions for customers, service partners, and internal teams.
- Actively contribute to the development of training materials and technical procedures for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Support the continuous improvement of training content by integrating field experiences and lessons learned.
6. Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) standards and safety policies.
- Conduct on-site safety inspections and maintain proper tool and equipment handling procedures.
Requirements:
Education & Certification:
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering , Energy Systems , Mechatronics , or related technical fields.
- Professional skills in BESS/PCS/RESS installation, maintenance, and commissioning.
Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in field service related to BESS/PCS/RESS systems.
- Proven experience leading commissioning and maintenance projects on C&I and Utility Scale systems.
- Experience in training delivery and procedure development is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of PCS , BESS , and RESS technologies, including grid compliance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints , wiring diagrams , and control schematics .
- Familiarity with SCADA systems , EMS (Energy Management Systems) , and monitoring platforms .
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills for delivering training and technical explanations.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to manage complex technical challenges.
- Adaptability to changing project environments and deadlines.
Work Environment:
- Frequent travel to various project sites.
- Field-based environment with exposure to industrial and outdoor conditions .
- On-call availability during critical project phases and emergencies.
