You’ll be joining the JD.com team, which values collaboration, ownership, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. We have an exciting opportunity for a Web Engineer to join our growing technical team for Joybuy. In this role, you will build and optimise user-facing web experiences that support high-traffic e-commerce scenarios. You will work closely with product team backend engineers to deliver scalable, customer-focused frontend solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications and user-facing features.
- Participate in requirement discussions, technical design, and code reviews.
- Optimise frontend performance, stability, and usability across browsers and devices.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure reliable data flow.
- Deliver features according to requirements and agreed delivery timelines.
- Research and experiment with new technologies to support the evolution of frontend engineering practices within the team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field.
- 3+ years of frontend web development experience using React or similar frameworks.
- Advanced knowledge in one or more programming languages, Javascript/Typescript, HTML/CSS.
- Understanding of modern frontend principles, including responsive design, component-based architecture, and state management.
- Solid programming foundation with attention to code quality and maintainability.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Chinese.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with e-commerce or high-traffic consumer platforms.
- Familiarity with modern frontend build tools, testing tools, workflows and practices.
- Experience working with international or distributed teams.
