JING exists to change the way the world thinks about tea.
To taste JING is to realise you've never really tasted tea before.
For 20 years we've sourced remarkable teas from single tea gardens around the world, and we're the tea of choice in many of the world's best 5-star hotels, served by some of its greatest chefs.
We’re Platinum Eco Vadis certified and loved by the people who know tea best.
The brand positioning is done.
It's strong, it's distinctive, and it's earned.
What we don't have is enough people talking about it.
One of our four strategic priorities is a step-change in consumer awareness, and this role is the engine for it.
You'll be joining as we push hard into consumer and e-commerce growth, off the back of solid long-term momentum.
The raw material is all there: a brand with real character, world-class product, stories worth telling from tea gardens most people will never see.
What's missing is someone to turn all of that into content and moments that land culturally.
The role
You'll bring the brand to life, not redefine it.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll own the consumer brand strategy and, crucially, do the work yourself.
Directing photography and video, writing copy, planning campaigns, building the frameworks that make it easy for agencies, photographers and the wider team to deliver what is uniquely JING.
This is a hands-on role at a challenger brand.
Small team, limited resources, high standards.
You'll brief agencies where it makes sense (paid media, PR) but the core creative direction stays in-house, with you.
JING is luxury and expert, but never aloof. Thought leaders and arbiters of taste who are also approachable and surprising. The work needs to hold that balance.
- What you’ll do
- Own and execute the annual consumer brand strategy across every touchpoint, digital first
- Plan and produce brand content yourself, including photography and video direction, not just brief it out
- Lead consumer PR, partnership amplification and digital marketing, feeding brand ideas into SEO and paid
- Evolve the brand frameworks (messaging hierarchy, visual and content guidelines) so execution stays consistent and sharp
- Write editorial and content copy that sounds like JING and recruits new customers
- Brief and manage agency partners where needed, keeping creative direction in-house
- Use performance data to work out what's landing and evolve the plan
- Work closely with the Head of Trade Marketing so the brand shows up joined-up everywhere
- What we’re looking for
- A challenger or disruptor brand background. You're used to producing high-quality creative work with a small team and limited budget
- Premium drinks, spirits or food experience is likely a better fit than big FMCG
- Proven ability to take a strong positioning and make it stand out, with awareness and sales growth to show for it
- Genuine content production skills: photography and video direction, editorial copywriting, organic social
- Editorial judgement. You know when something sounds like the brand and when it doesn't
- Strong analytical skills, comfortable with budgets, marketing analytics and reporting
- Organised enough to deliver a high volume of high-quality work
- A real passion for quality, sustainable food and drink
- What this role isn’t
- A repositioning brief. The strategy exists, the job is execution with flair.
- A brief-and-review role for someone who manages agencies from a distance.
- A big-team, big-budget FMCG brand role in miniature.
- A fit for someone who needs perfect conditions before they can make things happen.
- What you’ll get
- Hybrid working - 3 days a week in Victoria, 2 days a week WFH
- 35-hour week with core hours 9.00 - 16.00
- 26 days holiday (25 plus your birthday) on top of bank holidays
- Private healthcare and health cash plan, with flexible options
- Pension with generous employer contribution and salary exchange
- Learning and development budget
- 2 paid volunteering days a year
- Extra holiday at 3, 5 and 10-year milestones
- Employee and friends-and-family discount, plus rewards hub
- EAP, Cycle to Work, and unlimited (exceptional) tea
