Roadside Recovery Technician (Class C or C1)

Step away from standard delivery routes and become a vital lifeline for motorists. We are currently seeking a dedicated Roadside Recovery Technician to join our team.
In this role, no two days are the same. You will be the first responder for customers experiencing vehicle breakdowns - turning their stressful situations around with your professionalism, mechanical assistance, and outstanding customer care.
Whether you have years of experience under your belt or you have just obtained your HGV licence, no previous recovery experience is necessary. We believe in investing in our people and will provide you with comprehensive, fully supported training to ensure you are confident and capable in every aspect of your role.
What You Will Do
- Be the First Responder: Attend to broken-down vehicles at the roadside throughout Shetland, providing a reassuring presence to our customers.
- Problem Solve: Conduct on-the-spot checks or safely recover vehicles to the appropriate workshops or locations.
- Deliver Excellence: Build on our reputation by providing polite, professional and empathetic customer service at all times.
- Coordinate & Communicate: Keep recovery times running smoothly by communicating effectively with customers, internal departments, and partner companies via telephone and dedicated recovery software (full software training provided).
What You Need
- A valid UK Category C or C1 (HGV/LGV) driving licence.
- No more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
- A polite, approachable, and resilient personality.
- A valid Driver CPC: Don't have your CPC yet? Don't worry - we will provide and pay for your CPC training!
