We are looking for a compassionate and committed Support Worker to join our team at East Road in Cambridge. East Road is our 25-bed emergency accommodation service, often the first place people come to when they are rough sleeping and need immediate safety, support and a pathway forward.

The successful candidate will provide trauma-informed, person-centered support, helping to create a safe, secure and welcoming environment while supporting residents with their assessment, support and resettlement needs. You will build trusting relationships, work alongside partner agencies, and help people move towards greater stability and independent living.

You will need good communication and IT skills, a willingness to be hands-on, and an understanding of the challenges faced by people who have experienced homelessness. Experience of working with vulnerable adults is desirable, but training will be provided for candidates with the right values, skills and commitment.

The role includes daytime shifts, including weekends, on a 4-week rota, with opportunities for overtime.
