The Role
Our stores are designed to be intimate and beautiful spaces that enhance the customer experience. As an Optometrist, your role is crucial in building this experience, starting from the exam room. You will work closely with our Store Manager and provide optical guidance to our retail team.
Your mission
- Deliver an outstanding optometrist experience following the 'Optometrist Ceremony'.
- Understand patients' needs and ensure the highest quality eye examinations.
- Guarantee technical excellence and quality patient care.
- Accurately obtain spectacle prescriptions and recommend appropriate lens treatments.
- Educate patients about their eye health and prescriptions.
- Provide advice to varifocal users on caring for their spectacles.
- Comply with general data protection regulations.
Outside the eye test room:
- In charge of ongoing optics training for the store team.
- Support the team on the shop floor and promote eye test bookings.
- Check spectacle orders and assist with collections.
Your profile
- Fully qualified to practice in the respective area.
- Excited to work in a fast-paced environment with potential for growth.
- Able to make patients feel at ease during examinations.
- Skilled in building rapport with patients to encourage return visits.
- Highly motivated and adaptable to changing environments.
- A true team player with strong organisational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Availability to work 2 days/week (Tuesday and Thursdays).
- Fluent in written and oral English.
