Role Overview
As an Optometrist, you are key to delivering a superior customer experience from the exam room, working closely with the Store Manager and retail team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding optometrist experience following the “Optometrist Ceremony”.
- Understand patient needs and conduct thorough eye examinations to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Guarantee technical excellence and quality patient care.
- Accurately obtain spectacle prescriptions and recommend appropriate lens treatments based on visual needs and environment.
- Educate patients about eye health, prescriptions and care of their Jimmy Fairly glasses.
- Provide advice to varifocal users and guide care of their spectacles.
- Comply with general data protection regulations.
- Support ongoing optics training for the store team.
- Assist customers on the shop floor, promote eye test bookings, check orders and assist with collections.
Qualifications & Profile
- Fully qualified to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced retail environment and ability to grow and manage in a self‑starter role.
- Ability to make patients feel at ease and provide thorough health checks.
- Strong rapport‑building skills to encourage repeat visits and referrals.
- Highly motivated and adaptable, while maintaining exceptional patient care.
- Team player with strong organizational, communication, customer service and problem‑solving skills.
- Availability to work 3 days per week (Tuesday, Friday, Saturday).
- Fluent in written and oral English.
