The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.
The role is based in the HR Team and involves being a “subject matter expert” in the management of formal cases, providing professional and pragmatic HR support, advice and training on employee relations (ER) matters, ensuring consistency and fairness, and dealing with a wide range of sensitive and often complex employment issues.
Accountabilities:
- Act as point of contact for employees and provide advice, guidance and training in relation to ER cases.
- Manage the administration and approval of contracts and offer letters, ensuring compliance to both local and Group governance.
- Provide regular updates to the HR team in terms of employment law and legislation changes.
- Ensuring compliance, oversight of Collective Bargaining Agreements.
- Provide training and updates in relation to people policies such as Absence Management, Performance improvement and probation.
- Take ownership of ER cases such as grievances, investigations, disciplinaries, and queries seeing them through to resolution.
- Support the improvement of people capability, acting as a trusted adviser and coach to people managers to manage people’s issues successfully, incorporating best practice and mitigating any potential risk to the business.
- Manage your own caseload within the agreed Service Level Agreements.
- Maintain and update HR systems, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Work in collaboration with the HR teams to support more complex projects and cases such as TUPE, Redundancy or Discrimination cases.
- Analyse HR data and metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements to employee experience and workplace practices.
- Contribute to HR projects such as diversity & inclusion, well-being programs, and policy reviews.
Experience required:
- Proven experience providing advice and guidance to managers across the full spectrum of ER case topics: investigations, grievance, disciplinary, health & wellbeing, and performance.
- Experience of managing a case advisory workload in an organised manner.
- Experience assessing workplace issues and developing effective solutions, evaluating employee data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ability to negotiate, finding mutually beneficial solutions during disputes or complicated discussions with managers at all levels.
- Excellent time management, with an ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
- Proven record of effective judgement, with an ability to come to outcomes that benefit both colleagues and the organisation.
- Strong understanding of and ability to apply relevant employment law, ACAS Code of Practice, and other regulations.
