OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

This position is part of the Jimmy Choo Group Commercial Finance Team which is responsible for the forecasting and budgeting cycles, as well as management reporting, and oversight of global corporate cost centres and global capital expenditure. The role exists to business partner global digital team. The role encompasses both ad hoc work and regular reporting, analysis and planning. The primary stakeholders of this role are the Chief Client Officer, the Senior Director of Ecommerce, and team and the Regional Finance Teams. The successful candidate will be a self starter who demonstrates both commercial awareness and maintains financial control.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Planning
    • Lead all financial planning for the digital channels - including monthly forecasting and bi-annual budgeting cycles, in accordance with the Global finance calendar.
    • Ensuring that submissions are robust and reflect the impact of commercial developments across the digital business, identifying and evaluating risks and opportunities.
    • Prepare monthly forecast presentation pack and attend meeting with CEO, CFO, CCO alongside senior members of the Global Finance and Digital teams to review.
    • Improve processes around planning, aiming to efficiently and accurately meet deadlines.
  • Month End
    • Work closely with the Group reporting team to ensure monthly management accounts are accurate, timely and insightfully analysed, with particular attention to quarter-end.
    • Provide support for accruals and reclassifications as required.
    • Prepare monthly Flash P&L reporting pack and distribute it to the digital team, with meaningful commentary around variances.
  • Business Partnering
    • Be the primary point of contact for the Senior Director of Ecommerce and their team within the finance organisation.
    • Immerse oneself in the digital business, attending weekly trade meetings, and monthly marketing meetings.
    • Prepare business cases, assessing the cost versus benefits of trade and promotional decisions, considering metrics such as profitability, discounting, variable costs, conversion and client acquisition.
    • Work alongside the Director of Commercial finance to review and assess all digital proposals, applications and new business opportunities from a fiscal and commercial perspective.
    • Continuously improve financial reporting, processes and insight for the digital channel.
    • Seek to optimise cost including promotional spend and capital expenditure to ensure a return on investment.
  • Ad Hoc
    • Assist the wider Global Commercial Finance team with preparation of ad hoc financial information as required.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • The successful candidate will be a qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and commercial aware accountant, with excellent academics.
  • Previous experience in retail, preferably in a global business.
  • Relevant experience overseeing the digital channels is preferable.
  • Advanced excel skills.
  • Financial systems experience including SAP and Hyperion Financial Planning is desirable.
