Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • To assist designers in researching design ideas following design brief and brand profile
  • Prepare design presentations with team
  • Support design ideas by providing CAD illustrations when necessary
  • Report and work closely with designers to develop collections
  • Communicate and coordinate with other teams (Accessory/Merchandising) on material and collection collaborations
  • Organize and set up Technical Sheets/documentation per collection
  • Update and administrate collection overview documents
  • Attend design meetings, merchandising meetings and other relevant meetings related to design, product and commercial reporting as required
  • Administration of collection to sample stage (designated part of the collection)
  • Support and assist designers through the development of collections
  • Maintain and update material information as collection develops
  • Communicate and manage development
  • Develop and execute technical drawings to support design ideas under instruction from designers
  • The use of Photoshop and Illustrator to communicate design ideas in the collection

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • A recent Footwear Design Degree or equivalent
  • Previous work experience of working in a similar role is preferred but not essential
  • Confident user of Mac OSX
  • Confident user of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, with Procreate a bonus
  • Understand a ‘collection line plan’
  • Confident user of CAD
  • Full understanding of technical shoe terminology
  • Team player
  • Able to communicate clearly with all levels
  • A desire to drive and achieve goals
  • Confident researcher
  • Passionate about the brand and industry
  • Capable of liaising with all levels of management in a professional manner

Characteristics Required:

  • Able to translate the Jimmy Choo aesthetic into appropriate product
  • Excellent sense of style and colour with regards to colour combination and material
  • Excellent organisational, time management and presentation skills
  • Positive “can do” attitude and keen to learn
