Who You Are: As the Buyer, you will support the GMM in delivering the end-to-end Seasonal Buying process and Continuity Product Strategy for EMEA Full Price Retail and Ecommerce Channels for all footwear categories in line with the Company product strategy and Financial Targets.
What You’ll Do:
- Under the guidance of the GMM, select the seasonal product range for EMEA Retail and Ecommerce channels and optimise the product assortment to meet the individual needs of the EMEA stores, whilst operating in line with the Core assortment target and seasonal OTB.
- Build the seasonal stock packages and place the buy quantities at a style, store, and size level in line with the store OTB targets and seasonal range plan set by the Senior Merchandise Planner.
- Present the seasonal product selection and buy strategy to the Retail Teams and conduct In-season product training to enhance the product knowledge ahead of each seasonal launch – including key investments and product specifications.
- Oversee the Continuity product strategy and store Continuity Mapping and ensure the monthly reorder strategy is optimised.
- Produce weekly/monthly and ad hoc product performance and sell through analysis, presenting key findings to the wider team and business stakeholders.
- Oversee the pre-buy seasonal analysis to present key lessons learnt to the GMM/EMEA President ahead of each seasonal buying campaign.
- Partner closely with the Area Managers and Retail Stores to ensure regular market visits are conducted to become an expert in the product needs for each store in the EMEA region.
- Optimise the product assortment and realign in-season sales and stock imbalances.
- Determine the seasonal product needs of the region and present the requirements to Global Buying and Central Merchandising teams to ensure the product development and capsule needs for the season ahead are met.
- Work closely with the Middle East Buying Team to ensure synergy in the seasonal buy and regularly review stock share opportunities to optimise stock across the region.
- Work closely with the Senior Planner and Allocator to ensure the inventory cover and seasonal Sell Through targets are met and assortments by door are maximised on a regular basis.
- Determine the product assortment for individual store events /VM/marketing needs and for new store openings in line with the opening stock plan set by the GMM/ Senior Planner.
- Manage and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, collaborating with corporate partners from Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Global Merchandising, Logistics and Online Partnership Teams to ensure product synergy across all departments.
You’ll Need to Have:
- 5+ years of experience in Buying and/or Merchandise Planning across European Markets.
- University Graduate or equivalent level experience.
- A keen eye for product and experience in Assortment Building.
- Strong knowledge of the current Footwear and Accessories luxury sector trends.
- Strong management and mentorship capability.
- Experience increasing sales turnover and maximising gross profit.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work within tight deadlines.
- Highly developed and proven analytical skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Advanced level Excel, Access and Microsoft Office.
