Overall purpose of the job
The Centre Communications and Engagement Officer will have responsibility for developing and delivering communication and engagement plans and campaigns to support the promotion and impact of research activity at the JUST Centre. You will provide professional support, expertise and advice to Centre Leadership Team, as well as academics across the Centre.
You will focus on enhancing the reputation of the JUST Centre, as a leading national ESRC-funded research centre by communicating the excellence, scale, and interdisciplinary nature of our research and the societal impact we deliver locally, nationally and internationally.
The role requires strong relationships with the Centre Leadership team and wider team, Faculty of Humanities Communications, Young Foundation Communications Manager, Policy@Manchester, Research Communications, Faculty of Humanities Web Content Team, Division of Communications and Marketing to plan and manage the support of priority research activities. This role will also be externally facing and require you to engage regularly with JUST stakeholders, ensuring effective communication with partners and external organisations.
The post holder will ensure tasks are carried out in a timely manner with a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and in accordance with UoM policies and procedures.
Flexible, blended working arrangements will be considered. The post holder may be required to work off-campus and out of hours from time to time.
