We’re looking for a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join Co-op Wholesale, where we support over 4,000 convenience stores across the UK. We’re entering our next exciting phase of growth, and with that, we’ve got new opportunities emerging across Co-op Wholesale, like this one.
This role will be pivotal in unlocking the true value of our data—giving the business a clear view of performance and driving growth at every step. You’ll translate complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations, helping stakeholders across the business make informed decisions and achieve the right outcomes.

Working closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner, you’ll enhance performance, identify growth opportunities, and provide insights that drive key decisions where your impact will be felt throughout the organisation, helping Co-op Wholesale make a lasting mark in the B2B market.
What You’ll Do

  • Work as part of cross-functional project team to provide scenario modelling, challenging stakeholders, building credible business cases, supporting initiatives and trials, and measuring / evaluating their outcome
  • Work collaboratively with Co-op Wholesale sales and commercial teams to build long term strategic plans, annual budgets and forecasts
  • Review and challenge performance with key stakeholders to drive delivery of targets
  • Provide data driven financial insights to support the sales and commercial teams in making smarter, profit-maximising decisions
  • Effectively utilising management information tools to understand profit drivers of the business and identify opportunities to drive profitable growth
  • Present financial analysis and insights to Co-op Wholesale’s senior leadership team as well as to colleagues across the sales and commercial functions
  • Collaborate with the Co-op commercial team to get the correct income delivery and margin through to the Wholesale P&L
  • Track commercial risks and opportunities to ensure we get the right outcomes for the business
This Role Would Suit People Who Have
  • A recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • Experience in finance business partnering within a complex, commercial environment, working with stakeholders at all levels to drive business performance
  • A track record of partnering with senior leaders and influencing key decisions
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in complex financial modelling, using data to improve financial outcomes across the P&L
  • Excellent communication, presentation skills, and commercial awareness
