What we're looking for:

  • Experience: At least 1 year experience in events planning in the hospitality industry or similar fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help bring memorable events to life, creating welcoming experiences that connect people through culture, creativity, and community.
  • Build strong relationships with Jikoni managers and on‑site team, external venues, suppliers, and partners, ensuring every detail is thoughtfully delivered.
  • Identify and source new event opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations that align with our values and audience.
  • Support event planning and administration, keeping projects organised, on track, and within budget.
  • Coordinate guest communications, registrations, and logistics to ensure a seamless attendee journey.
  • Be hands‑on during event delivery, helping to create smooth, engaging, and enjoyable experiences for guests.
  • Keep timelines moving forward, proactively managing tasks and solving challenges as they arise.
  • Attend and organise Washups to gather feedback and insights to help continuously improve future events.
  • Maintain accurate records and event documentation, ensuring efficient and well‑organised operations.
