We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our team in our Head Office in Kew Gardens, Richmond.
JOB PURPOSE
This role is a newly created position, required to support our senior finance manager, with statutory reporting, audit, expense management and internal controls.

This role will be ideally suited to a candidate who has excellent attention to detail, proactive in improving processes, with good organisational and communication skills.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Produce accurate and on time Store, Web and bank cash reconciliations.

Reconciliation of payment providers

Assist in the monitoring of trade receivables and debtors position in the business

Review and process corporate card holder's monthly expenditure

Ownership of expense management solution and reconciliation

Process employee expenses

Capex and depreciation accounting and reporting, supporting the budget and forecasting process.

Preparation of UK VAT returns and PAYE submissions

Support senior finance manage with statutory reporting and audit

Support senior finance manager with implementing rigorous financial controls within the business

Provide admin support within the finance team, when required.

Be involved in stock procedures, including transfer monitoring, stock adjustments and stock discrepancy investigation

Update commodity codes

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Rigorous attention to detail

Good communication skills

Able to work to high degree of accuracy and to deadlines

Essential

Retail knowledge and understanding of bank reconciliations

Hardworking team player and look forward to new challenges & opportunities

Good MS Excel skills (pivot tables, V-look ups)

Desirable

Microsoft Navision/Dynamics Experience would be highly desirable
