Safety isn’t exactly sexy, but ruddy hell its important. It literally saves lives. Heroic if you will. But it’s not as important as Sales and Marketing. Yeah I said it, sue me. Thing is, you can’t save lives if no one knows about you. You might have the best product in the market, but if you don’t have a cohesive strategy, you’re not moving forward. It’s why my client needs your Sales and Marketing skills as a leader as well as a strategic thinker. Do you need to know anything about H&S training? Nope. You will, however, still have that fire in your belly for S&M that’s currently simmering but desperate to be unleashed. You want people to listen, you want people to follow, you want to be the leader, but you’re sorta stuck. You have ideas, tonnes of them, but you’re not able to let loose as really, there’s no where else for you to go or you’ve reached the top but found you’ve settled. Here though, well, they need your energy. They need your skills, experience and background in developing S&M strategy, they need your drive to implement a growth culture, plus they really need your love of seeing a team develop into professionals as there are five direct reports waiting for your guidance. You’ll have complete autonomy to run things your way. You’ll be sat on the SLT and own the decision making for future growth opportunities as the owners need someone to come and tell them how it’s done. Plus, you’ll have overall responsibility for the company’s growth plan and the future development of its positioning and proposition.
