We are working with a long-established Poole manufacturer with a global presence, to recruit an IT Support Technician to join their Business Systems team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with real heritage, strong values and the backing of the wider corporate group. Their products are used across healthcare, transport, mobility, leisure and industrial sectors worldwide.
Working closely with the IT Manager, you will provide day-to-day support across the business, ensuring employees receive fast, effective support both onsite and remotely when needed. You will play a key role in keeping systems running smoothly, resolving issues quickly and helping drive improvements across the wider IT function.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1st line IT support across hardware, software and user issues
- Escalating more complex issues to 2nd line or external support providers
- Installing and configuring PCs, phones and printers
- Diagnosing faults and resolving technical issues quickly and effectively
- Supporting Windows updates, anti-virus maintenance and system upgrades
- Administering telephony and call recording systems
- Supporting staff with training on IT systems and equipment
- Assisting with IT audits, asset management and wider business systems improvements
- Monitoring and updating support tickets to ensure issues are resolved efficiently
We are looking for someone with previous IT support experience or relevant qualifications, alongside a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Windows Server and basic networking principles. You will be a natural problem solver who enjoys helping people, can manage multiple priorities and takes pride in delivering a high level of service. Just as importantly, you will be organised, approachable, eager to learn and able to work well both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
