Are you a hands-on learning specialist who loves turning ideas into engaging, practical development programmes? We are partnering exclusively with an established, values-led business to recruit an experienced Training Manager. This is a high-impact, standalone role where you'll have the freedom to shape modern learning across a busy, multi-site organisation. This isn't a role focused on managing a team or delivering the same training courses repeatedly. You'll be the person who designs, builds and launches compelling learning solutions that strengthen operational capability, improve the guest experience and support career progression.

What you'll be doing:

  • Creating engaging digital, blended and workplace learning solutions
  • Designing structured induction and onboarding programmes
  • Developing operational career pathways and competency frameworks
  • Producing video, e-learning, tutorials, job aids and practical learning resources
  • Building a Train-the-Trainer programme for regional learning champions
  • Working with colleges and providers to develop apprenticeship pathways
  • Using learning technology and AI-enabled tools to improve the speed and quality of content creation
  • Partnering with operational leaders to identify capability gaps and deliver practical solutions

What we're looking for:

  • You’ll be an experienced learning design, training or capability professional with a strong track record of personally creating high-quality learning content.
  • You’ll also bring:
    • Strong instructional and digital learning design capability
    • Experience developing learning solutions from initial concept through to launch and evaluation
    • Confidence creating video, multimedia, e-learning and performance-support resources
    • Experience developing career pathways, competency frameworks or structured learning journeys
    • Knowledge of apprenticeships and external learning partnerships
    • Experience designing Train-the-Trainer or facilitator development programmes
    • The confidence to influence senior and operational stakeholders
    • A proactive, self-starting approach and the ability to deliver without a team beneath you
    • Experience within hospitality, retail, leisure or another fast-paced, multi-site environment would be particularly valuable.

Why consider this opportunity?

This is a rare chance to take ownership of the learning agenda within a respected and successful organisation. You'll have genuine scope to introduce fresh ideas, embrace digital innovation and create learning solutions that make a visible difference. The role offers hybrid working, alongside regular travel to operational locations and external partners. The salary is competitive and negotiable, depending on experience. Applicants should be able to share recent examples of digital or blended learning content they have personally created and explain the impact it achieved.
