Jigsaw Specialist Recruitment is working with a well-established and highly regarded organisation to recruit an experienced Buyer to join its Purchasing and Supply Chain team. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone with previous purchasing or procurement experience who enjoys managing suppliers, solving problems and working in a busy environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing RFQs, purchase orders and supplier activity
- Expediting orders and ensuring delivery deadlines are met
- Liaising with internal teams to understand priorities and requirements
- Supporting inventory and demand planning
- Managing supplier relationships and resolving order, delivery and quality issues
- Monitoring supplier performance and supporting continuous improvement
- Maintaining accurate purchasing records and reports
About you:
You'll ideally have 2–3 years' purchasing or procurement experience, previous ERP system experience and strong Excel skills. You'll be organised, commercially aware and confident communicating and negotiating with suppliers. CIPS Level 4, or working towards it, would be advantageous but isn't essential.
