About the department: The Health & Safety Team provide advice and support to managers, colleagues and other stakeholders on health & safety matters across all of our wide-ranging services and departments. Having achieved ISO 45001, we are committed to ensuring and maintaining high standards of health, safety and welfare for all of our colleagues and customers.
Role information: We are seeking an experienced and people focused Manager to lead our Health and Safety team, supporting the Assistant Director Health and Safety with operational delivery and ensuring existing health and safety arrangements are adhered to by stakeholders across the group. As someone with line management experience and a passion for health and safety, you will be overseeing the work of the wider team including accident investigations, inspections, audits and H&S training delivery. The role will involve travel across the group portfolio, working with stakeholders across the business to raise awareness and promote engagement. Solution focused, you will be able to demonstrate current knowledge of all relevant Health & Safety regulations. You will be able to communicate clearly, explaining to stakeholders how to achieve compliance in a proportionate and pragmatic way. With experience in social housing or similar organisations and excellent customer service and communication skills you will be able to continue to support and build on the existing positive Health & Safety culture.
