Jigsaw Homes Group is one of the largest housing groups in England with more than 37,500 homes across the North West and East Midlands. We provide quality, low-cost housing and play a wider role in making sure our residents thrive in their homes and benefit from living in healthy, sustainable communities.
We have an established and dedicated team of 600 employees within our Asset Management department. Our team prides itself on investing in our own people to deliver first class property-based services across the Group, covering a broad range of disciplines from reactive, planned and grounds maintenance to property refurbishments, estate services, building safety and compliance.
We are seeking a passionate Building Safety Advisor to help us take a proactive approach to managing building safety across our 15 higher-risk buildings (HRBs). Working with colleagues you will help ensure the physical aspects of the building are well maintained and compliant with legislation. You will help with resident engagement and ensure residents are at the heart of what we do.
You will be proactive, people-focussed, have excellent communication skills, and will work closely with the wider Asset Management, repairs teams, and other colleagues across the business to deliver positive outcomes for our customers. You will be a team player but able to work well as an individual on your own projects.
You will help with the development and ongoing management of building safety cases, resident engagement, mandatory occurrence reporting and will work with colleagues on applications to the Building Safety Regulator when work is required to our buildings. The successful candidate will be part of a small team of building and fire safety professionals, and you will be supported by the Group Building Safety Manager.
