Working for an industry leader, our client is a family-run highly successful business who are seeing exceptional growth with their exceptionally high-quality products. The Compliance and Quality System Manager ensures that the company's door, window, joinery and related hardware products comply with country relevant regulations and standards including but not limited to British Standards (BS), European Norms (EN) and Construction Products Regulation (CPR). This role establishes and maintains the Quality Management System (QMS), oversees regulatory compliance, and supports product certification, audits, and continuous improvement to meet safety, performance, and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with BS, EN, CE, UKCA, CPR, REACH, RoHS, WEEE, and other global regulations
- Maintain technical documentation and manage Declarations of Performance (DoP)
- Liaise with notified bodies and testing labs for certifications
- Monitor regulatory changes and update compliance frameworks
- Support R&D and manufacturing in product design, testing, and material compliance
- Manage QMS documentation and lead ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 processes
- Conduct internal audits, training, and manage NCRs, CAPA, and RCA
- Support product testing programs aligned with safety, durability, and performance standards
Skills & Attributes:
- Knowledge of British Standards (BS), EN Standards, Construction Products Regulation (CPR), CE Marking, and UKCA requirements
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and PAS 24 testing requirements
- Strong knowledge of product development, design and testing procedures, compliance risk assessment, and quality assurance
- Proficiency in quality management software and regulatory compliance tools
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise with regulatory bodies and suppliers
- Formal qualification in Quality Management, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in compliance, product certification, or quality management in a similar sector
Hours: 07:30-16:30 Monday to Friday
