This role is suited to a high-calibre Inbound Supply Chain Manager who enjoys complexity, pace and responsibility. Role Description:
Drive operational efficiency, secure supply, and enhance customer experience by managing and optimizing the inbound supply chain to support our Client’s global growth and values.
Main responsibilities include:
- Plan and forecast short- and long-term demand.
- Source, assess, and manage suppliers; negotiate contracts and maintain positive relationships.
- Ensure a stable, integrated, and risk-managed inbound supply chain.
- Collaborate on product and process design.
- Monitor inventory, define strategies (MSL, EOQ, SKU), and maintain ERP data.
- Execute purchasing strategies, manage day-to-day activities, and track KPIs.
- Prepare reports, communicate with stakeholders, and support procurement projects.
- Manage costs, improve margins, and analyse procurement data.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as Supply Chain or Procurement Manager/Head of Procurement.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience in sourcing for manufacturing/engineering businesses, including global suppliers.
- Knowledge of supply chain, procurement techniques, ERP/MRP systems.
- Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Business Administration; CIPS Level 4/5 preferred.
Personal Attributes:
- Customer-focused, detail-oriented, innovative, and a strong team player.
- Confident in managing suppliers, employees, and cross-functional teams.
- Experienced in metal manufacturing or engineering industries is a plus.
Preferred:
- ERP/WMS proficiency
- Market insight and innovative technology awareness
- Employee leadership and training capability
