Experienced Technical Buyer to join a fast-paced HMLV manufacturing environment, supporting both serial production and bespoke project delivery. This role is critical in ensuring materials, engineered components, and subcontract services are sourced and delivered on time, in full, and to the correct technical specification. You’ll play a key role in maintaining supply continuity, supporting operational performance, and building strong supplier relationships across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Convert MRP demand into accurate purchase orders with correct drawings, specifications, and finish requirements
- Manage supplier acknowledgements, delivery commitments, and expedite activities
- Raise subcontract machining, fabrication, and plating orders with accurate routing instructions
- Coordinate offshore supply and logistics activities
- Support recovery planning, shortage prevention, and supplier performance management
- Maintain ERP/MRP master data and purchasing records
- Support RFQ activities, supplier negotiations, and sourcing initiatives
- Assist with supplier development, dual sourcing, and continuity planning
- Work closely with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Production, and Finance teams

- OTIF supplier performance
- Supplier quality & NCR reduction
- Cost control & PPV management
- Inventory accuracy & shortage prevention
- ERP/MRP data accuracy
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience within HMLV manufacturing environments
- Strong background sourcing metals, fabricated, machined, or engineered components
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong ERP/MRP systems knowledge
- Excellent supplier management and communication skills
- Comfortable operating within a fast-moving manufacturing environment
