This role is suited to a high-calibre Production Manager who enjoys complexity, pace and responsibility. The Production Manager is responsible for leading and optimising all production activities to ensure customer orders are delivered On Time In Full (OTIF), to high quality standards, and within cost and capacity targets. This is a hands-on leadership role in a high-mix, low-volume (HMLV) environment, focused on improving performance across manufacturing, finishing, assembly, and dispatch. The role requires strong planning, attention to detail, and the ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
Main responsibilities include:
- Lead production planning, scheduling, and shop-floor control to maximise efficiency and delivery performance
- Optimise workflows across manufacturing, finishing, assembly, and logistics
- Drive continuous improvement, increasing productivity, capacity, and process efficiency
- Embed quality at source, reducing defects and rework
- Lead and develop teams, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support business performance and growth

- Quality (PPM, defect reduction)

Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior production or manufacturing leadership role
- Strong background in HMLV / bespoke / job-lot manufacturing
- Proven experience in production planning, process improvement, and productivity gains
- Excellent people leadership and team development skills
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and cost control
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and shop-floor operations
