We are seeking an experienced Product Design Engineer to join a growing design team supporting both bespoke customer projects and new product development. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-quality furniture and ironmongery products, combining fast-turnaround special projects with longer-term engineering and design initiatives in a high-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create 3D CAD models and 2D technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor / Vault or similar
  • Design assemblies with moving components for real-world manufacture
  • Design bespoke products from customer concepts through to production
  • Develop new standard products and improve existing designs
  • Apply GD&T principles and support tolerance analysis
  • Contribute to DFMEA / PPAP activities and robust product development processes
  • Create BOMs, costings, estimates and technical documentation
  • Maintain accurate CAD and ERP data
  • Work closely with manufacturing, purchasing and wider teams
  • Manage projects from concept to production

Required Experience:

  • Product Design / Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years using Inventor, SolidWorks or similar CAD software
  • Experience designing assemblies with moving parts/mechanisms
  • Experience creating production-ready drawings and 3D models
  • Working knowledge of GD&T
  • Experience supporting DFMEA / PPAP processes
  • Experience with ERP systems and CAD data management tools
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Comfortable working in a high-paced environment
