Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician looking to take the next step in your automotive career? We are looking for skilled, motivated, and practical individuals to join a growing dealership team in Southend, working with an exciting and expanding automotive brand. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified Vehicle Technicians or Semi-Skilled Technicians with a Level 3 qualification to develop their skills in a rewarding environment with manufacturer training, excellent earning potential, and long-term career progression.

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles while ensuring work is completed to manufacturer and dealership standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs
  • Diagnose faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment
  • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs efficiently and accurately
  • Complete vehicle inspections and health checks
  • Identify faults and provide effective repair solutions
  • Deliver excellent customer service and explain vehicle issues where required
  • Participate in ongoing in-house and manufacturer training programmes
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional working environment

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic
  • Experience with diagnostics, servicing, and repairs
  • Ability to use diagnostic equipment confidently
  • MOT Tester licence desirable but not essential
  • Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points
  • Professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach
  • Flexible attitude and willingness to learn and develop
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced workshop environment

Hours

Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
Alternate Saturdays: 8:00am - 1:00pm

Salary & Benefits

  • OTE £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience
