Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
  • 1 in 2 Saturdays: 8:00am - 1:00pm

Our client is a well-established and successful independent automotive business with an excellent reputation for quality workmanship and customer service. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop in Wareham. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and supportive team where high standards are valued, and quality is at the heart of everything they do.

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and inspections on a wide range of vehicles, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
  • Complete vehicle inspections and MOT repairs where required.
  • Conduct road tests and complete warranty repairs.
  • Interpret repair instructions, manufacturer specifications, technical bulletins, and workshop manuals.
  • Accurately complete job cards and record all work carried out.
  • Identify and report any additional work required.
  • Liaise with the Parts Department to source required components.
  • Communicate technical information clearly with customers when necessary.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and housekeeping within the workshop.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Fully qualified Vehicle Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working within a busy workshop environment.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • MOT Tester licence desirable but not essential.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • A positive attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service.
