We are looking for skilled, motivated, and practical individuals to join a growing dealership team in Southend, working with an exciting and expanding automotive brand. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified Vehicle Technicians or Semi‑Skilled Technicians with a Level 3 qualification to develop their skills in a rewarding environment with manufacturer training, excellent earning potential, and long‑term career progression.
The Role
As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles while ensuring work is completed to manufacturer and dealership standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs
- Diagnose faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment
- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs efficiently and accurately
- Complete vehicle inspections and health checks
- Identify faults and provide effective repair solutions
- Deliver excellent customer service and explain vehicle issues where required
- Participate in ongoing in‑house and manufacturer training programmes
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional working environment
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic
- Experience with diagnostics, servicing, and repairs
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment confidently
- MOT Tester licence desirable but not essential
- Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points
- Professional, reliable, and customer‑focused approach
- Flexible attitude and willingness to learn and develop
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced workshop environment
Hours
Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
Alternate Saturdays: 8:00am - 1:00pm
Salary & Benefits
- OTE £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience
