An established and growing civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a range of infrastructure projects across the North East, Tees Valley, Yorkshire and the Humber. Working within a busy and collaborative team, you will play a key role in the commercial management of projects including highways, public realm, flood alleviation, active travel and bridge works.

The Role

You will be responsible for supporting the successful commercial delivery of projects from start through to final account, ensuring works are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and submission of interim applications and final accounts
  • Managing cost control, valuations, and commercial reporting
  • Procurement and management of subcontractors
  • Contract administration of subcontract packages
  • Assessment and payment of subcontractor applications
  • Management of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts, including early warnings and compensation events
  • Measurement of quantities from drawings and on site
  • Production of CVRs and internal reporting
  • Supporting the project team to identify and manage risks and opportunities
  • Ensuring accurate and up-to-date site records are maintained

About You

  • Experience working on civil engineering or infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts
  • Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Proactive, reliable, and team-focused approach

Qualifications & Requirements

  • HND or equivalent in Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering (or similar)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
