Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join a busy and well-established automotive workshop in Basingstoke.
This is an excellent opportunity for a fully skilled Technician looking to join a professional team, with ongoing manufacturer and in-house training available to support your development.
The Role
As a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs across a range of vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and right first time.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs.
- Diagnose faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
- Complete MOT testing to DVSA standards.
- Work across a range of vehicle makes and models.
- Carry out diagnostic and repair work efficiently and accurately.
- Work towards productivity and efficiency targets.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop.
- Work closely with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service.
About You
- The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified and experienced Vehicle Technician with:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
- Valid MOT Tester qualification.
- Proven experience within a professional workshop environment.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience using modern diagnostic equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across a range of vehicles.
- A commitment to delivering right-first-time workmanship.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A full UK manual driving licence.
- A flexible, customer-focused and professional approach.
Main dealer experience would be advantageous, although full training will be provided both on-site and through the manufacturer.
