Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join a busy and well-established automotive workshop in Basingstoke.

This is an excellent opportunity for a fully skilled Technician looking to join a professional team, with ongoing manufacturer and in-house training available to support your development.

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs across a range of vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and right first time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs.
  • Diagnose faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
  • Complete MOT testing to DVSA standards.
  • Work across a range of vehicle makes and models.
  • Carry out diagnostic and repair work efficiently and accurately.
  • Work towards productivity and efficiency targets.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop.
  • Work closely with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service.

About You

  • The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified and experienced Vehicle Technician with:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
  • Valid MOT Tester qualification.
  • Proven experience within a professional workshop environment.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Experience using modern diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge across a range of vehicles.
  • A commitment to delivering right-first-time workmanship.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A full UK manual driving licence.
  • A flexible, customer-focused and professional approach.

Main dealer experience would be advantageous, although full training will be provided both on-site and through the manufacturer.
