We are currently seeking an experienced captain (500 GT) to temporarily take command of one of our vessels. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified seafarer to contribute to a highly professional team in a dynamic operational environment.
Key responsibilities
- Take full command of the vessel, ensuring safe navigation and operation at all times
- Oversee daily deck operations, including towing, anchor handling, and barge movements
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Maintain communication with onshore operations and coordinate activities with the crew
- Lead and manage the onboard team to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to procedures
- Conduct safety drills and ensure readiness for emergency situations
Requirements
- Valid 500 GT Certificate of Competency (CoC)
- DP Certificate (Dynamic Positioning) – mandatory
- SDPO certification – preferred
- Experience with Multicat or AHTS (Anchor Handling Tug Supply) vessels
- Right to work in the UK or British citizenship
- Solid knowledge of vessel operations and safety procedures
