Job description
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent driving skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
Duties
- Operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit.
- Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic regulations and company policies.
- Communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and delivery confirmations.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Assist with warehouse tasks as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong driving skills with a valid driving licence; experience with commercial driving is an advantage.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 30 KG) and manage the physical demands of the job.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Note - You must be willing to undergo a CRB check as this will be required within the first month of working. You CANNOT have more than 6 points on your license. You MUST have the right to work in the UK. MUST be able to work Monday - Saturday.
