Due to continued growth and a secured pipeline of work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Lead Site Manager to take responsibility for a key project in Taunton.
The Project
You will lead the delivery of a £5m design & build scheme, commercial steel frame scheme. This is a technically focused project requiring strong coordination, programme management, and attention to detail to ensure minimal disruption and high-quality execution.
The Role
As Lead Site Manager, you will take full site responsibility, reporting to a visiting contracts manager and overseeing all site operations from start to completion. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing day-to-day site activities and subcontractors
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification
- Coordinating trades and managing site logistics on a live environment
- Driving quality standards and ensuring compliance with design requirements
- Monitoring progress and reporting to senior management
- Maintaining strong client relationships on site
- Ensuring all H&S procedures and company policies are adhered to
About You
- Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager / Lead Site Manager with a main contractor
- Experience delivering commercial or public sector new build projects
- Strong knowledge of design & build projects
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualified
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to lead teams and drive programme on site
