An established main contractor is seeking a standalone Site Manager to oversee a demolition and external works package on a commercial building in Ilkeston. This is a freelance opportunity offering an immediate start for the right candidate.
The Role
Working as the standalone Site Manager on site, you will report into a visiting Contracts Manager and take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the works. The scope includes removal of existing brickwork and cladding to an existing wall, along with associated repair works, so previous experience of demolition, strip-out, or external refurbishment works is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing all on-site operations from mobilisation through to completion
- Overseeing demolition works, including brickwork and cladding removal to an existing wall
- Managing associated repair works following removal
- Coordinating subcontractors, plant, and deliveries on a standalone basis
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
