The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious sports business at a key stage of its growth. Working as part of a small, fast-paced team, you will help identify new locations and then keep each project moving from initial opportunity through to opening.
It is a varied, hands-on role for somebody who enjoys being out on site, building strong relationships and solving problems. You will coordinate multiple workstreams, maintain momentum and make sure the right people have the information and actions they need to deliver successful venues.
What you will be doing
- Support the search for new locations by researching opportunities, reviewing potential sites and arranging or attending viewings.
- Build relationships with commercial agents, landlords, developers, local partners and other contacts who can introduce suitable opportunities.
- Complete initial site assessments, gathering the practical information needed to help the leadership team evaluate feasibility and commercial potential.
- Coordinate activity from agreed site through design, planning, fit-out and opening, keeping programmes, actions and dependencies visible.
- Visit sites regularly to monitor progress, identify issues early and ensure contractors, consultants and suppliers remain aligned to the plan.
- Maintain clear project trackers covering milestones, budgets, risks, decisions and outstanding actions across several live projects.
- Work closely with architects, planning advisers, contractors, utilities providers, equipment suppliers and internal colleagues.
- Provide concise, practical updates to the leadership team and elevate risks with solutions and recommendations.
- Support procurement, supplier coordination, documentation and handover so each venue is ready for a smooth launch.
- Improve project processes and templates as the business grows, bringing structure without slowing down delivery.
What we are looking for
- Experience coordinating property, construction, fit-out, facilities or multi-site opening projects; experience in leisure, hospitality, retail or sport would be particularly relevant.
- A highly organised approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and keep several projects progressing at once.
- Commercial awareness and the confidence to assess opportunities, ask the right questions and challenge constructively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with senior colleagues, landlords, agents, contractors and suppliers.
- A practical, proactive mindset: you notice what needs doing, take ownership and follow actions through to completion.
- Comfort working with pace, ambiguity and changing priorities in an entrepreneurial, growing business.
- Confidence using project plans, budgets, trackers and reporting tools to create clarity and accountability.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to current and prospective sites across the UK.
Why join?
- Play a visible part in the expansion of one of the UKs most exciting growth sports.
- Join a close-knit, ambitious team where your ideas and contribution will be noticed.
- Enjoy genuine variety across property, project delivery and commercial development.
- Take ownership of projects and see the direct impact of your work as new venues open.
- Build your career as the company, its estate and the role continue to grow.
