Known for delivering high-quality new build and refurbishment projects across the public and commercial sectors, they are now looking to strengthen their commercial team with the appointment of an experienced Quantity Surveyor. The Role Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will take ownership of the commercial management of projects ranging from £500k to £15m in value, working locally in Plymouth and the surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities * Full commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account * Preparation and agreement of interim valuations and applications for payment * Procurement and management of subcontract packages, including tendering, placing orders, and valuing works * Cost reporting, forecasting, and monitoring project profitability * Management of variations, change control, and contract compliance * Negotiation and agreement of final accounts with clients and subcontractors * Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and the site team * Supporting the Commercial Director with commercial strategy and reporting About You * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environment * Experience across new build and refurbishment projects, ideally within public and/or commercial sectors * Strong working knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contract forms * Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills * Commercially astute, organised, and able to manage multiple packages/projects simultaneously * Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience) * Full UK driving licence * This is an office/site based position therefore candidates will need to live within easy commute of Plymouth.
