We are looking for an organised and customer-focused Conveyancing Assistant to join a well-established property business in Leeds City Centre. Ideally, you’ll have previous experience within residential conveyancing or remortgage, but this isn’t essential. We are also keen to hear from candidates with strong administration or customer service experience who are looking to move into the property and conveyancing sector. The role would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent attention to detail and is confident managing multiple tasks and deadlines.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing excellent customer service to customers and corporate clients
  • Supporting conveyancers with the progression of residential property transactions
  • Managing electronic and paper files and ensuring records are kept accurately
  • Chasing customers, solicitors, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other third parties for information and documentation
  • Chasing outstanding funds from lenders, customers and other solicitors
  • Supporting exchanges and completions
  • Inputting and interpreting data, including redemption figures
  • Preparing, sending and checking legal documentation
  • Reviewing and inputting mortgage offer information
  • Assisting with enquiries relating to sale transactions
  • Working to deadlines, targets and agreed service levels

About You

Conveyancing or remortgage experience would be preferred, but we're also open to candidates without direct property experience. You may have previous experience in:

  • Residential conveyancing or remortgage
  • Legal administration
  • General administration
  • Customer service
  • Financial services
