JHM BUTT & Co Ltd is a leading supplier of automotive workshop and garage equipment in the UK. For over 50 years, we have supported single-site garages through to national organisations with installation, sales, service, calibration, preventive maintenance, MOT supplies, spare parts, tools, and printing services. As “Your One Stop Shop”, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality support to the automotive industry.

We are now looking for an organised and proactive Service Co-ordinator to join our growing team. This role is central to ensuring that our engineers, customers, and internal departments remain aligned and supported day-to-day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check engineers’ job sheets and update statuses accordingly.
  • Raise new jobs for quotes where required.
  • Determine chargeable vs non-chargeable work and progress sales orders.
  • Create delivery notes once all checks are completed.
  • Raise returns where applicable and own the process whilst supporting our warehouse teams.
  • Liaise with the Installation team and inform of any trends.
  • Log calls, enquiries, issues, and updates accurately.
Customer Communication & Support
  • Handle customer enquiries, questions, and book in both preventative maintenance and reactive breakdowns.
  • Assist new customers with quotes, service contracts, and general setup.
  • Manage issues raised by customers and direct them to the correct department when required.
  • Make courtesy calls to our customers and resolve any planning issues that may arise.
Finance & Invoicing
  • Support invoice queries and liaise with the accounts team where needed.
  • Raise credit notes when appropriate and provide evidence to support claims.
  • Check invoices from suppliers and confirm accurate amounts.
  • Assist engineers and customers with issues encountered onsite.
  • Arrange hotel bookings and travel where required.
  • Communicate updates, changes, and planning details clearly.
Team Support & Training
  • Support the Parts Department with part information, suggestions and labour times.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth operations.
About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Confident communicating with engineers, B2B customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Calm under pressure and able to resolve issues quickly.
  • Keen to learn and willing to support the wider service team.
  • Previous experience in service coordination or scheduling is desirable but not essential.
