We are JHM Butt & Co Ltd - one of the UK's leading suppliers of car and commercial garage equipment. Vehicle lifts, MOT bays, tyre changers, wheel balancers, exhaust extraction, and everything in between. We work with independent garages, fleet operators, national dealer groups, body shops, and public sector clients across the UK.
We are growing, and we are looking for a sales Manager who can lead from the front. This is a player-manager role - you will run a team of 3-4 people and carry your own sales area. If you want to earn well, build something, and be part of a business that is going places, keep reading.
What You Will Do- Lead and develop a team of 3-4 sales and support staff – sales coaching, 1-to-1s, pipeline reviews, and holding people accountable.
- Carry your own portfolio of accounts and actively generate new business - proactive outbound as well as converting inbound enquiries.
- Sell across the full product range — vehicle lifts, MOT bays, tyre and wheel equipment, service contracts, and consumables.
- Report directly to the Sales Director and contribute to commercial strategy and growth planning.
- Maintain pricing discipline and pipeline quality across the team.
- A proven B2B sales track record — ideally in garage equipment, automotive aftermarket, or a related trade or technical sector.
- Experience managing or leading a sales team — formally or informally.
- A genuine new business mindset — you generate pipeline, you do not wait for it.
- High personal standards — organised, disciplined, and consistent.
- Full UK driving licence.
A competitive basic salary, uncapped commission, company car or car allowance, fuel card, phone, laptop, 25 days holiday, and a pension.
